The present work is Ada's last contribution to the field of Hebrew and West-Semitic palaeography that a sad fate prevented her from completing.
 
Profs. Mordechai Cogan and Shmuel Ahituv, her two colleagues and friends, graciously and most competently jumped into the breach and splendidly brought it to conclusion. The academic world now owes one more debt of gratitude to Ada for this new and stimulating study.
